Mac Miller Is Projected To Have 7 Albums On This Week’s Billboard Chart

According to Billboard Magazine seven of Mac Miller’s albums could be on next week’s Billboard 200 albums chart (dated Sept. 22), according to industry forecasters.

Miller’s most recent release, Swimming, may vault into the top five with perhaps a 500 percent unit gain in the week ending Sept. 13, rising to 55,000 equivalent album units earned. On the current chart, dated Sept. 15, Swimmingranks at No. 71, having earned 9,000 units in the week ending Sept. 6, according to Nielsen Music. The album debuted at No. 3 just five weeks ago (chart dated Aug. 18), marking Miller’s fifth top 10 effort.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multimetric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the Sept. 22-dated Billboard 200 chart (where Swimming may reach the top five) is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s websites on Sunday, Sept. 16.

Miller’s 2011 mixtape Best Day Ever could make its chart debut in the top 30 with perhaps 15,000 units earned in the week ending Sept. 13 (up from 1,000 units the week previous, according to Nielsen Music).

His 2015 studio effort GO:OD AM, which debuted and peaked at No. 4, might jump back onto the list in the top 40 with around 10,000 to 15,000 units (up from 1,000). The former No. 1, 2011’s Blue Slide Park, is on track to re-enter the list in the top 40 with 10,000-plus units (rising from 1,000). Also possibly heading back to the top 40 is the 2016 studio set The Divine Feminine, which could tally around 10,000 units (again, up from 1,000).

Two more Miller sets are on track to reach the chart next week: the 2013 studio release Watching Movies With the Sound Off and the 2012 mixtape Macadelic. The former, which peaked at No. 3, might return to the top 50 with perhaps 8,000 to 10,000 units (up from 1,000), while the latter could make its Billboard chart debut with 6,000 to 8,000 units (up from a negligible figure the week previous).
