21 Savage’s Felony Theft Charge Dropped

Things are looking up for 21 Savage and his deportation case, as the D.A. has rejected the felony theft case against him, according to a new report from TMZ. In a report they posted Friday morning (March 1), TMZ states that the Atlanta District Attorney’s Office feels the case should be treated as a civil matter.

The charges came shortly after 21 was released on bond from the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). A club promoter was alleging that she booked 21 to perform in 2016 and that she paid him half of his fees up front and the other half upon arrival at the venue.

The promoter claims that 21 never actually performed and that he left with all of the money without fulfilling his obligations. What’s interesting is that though the promoter filed the report and the felony warrant back when the events transpired in October 2016, they didn’t act on pursuing it until they saw 21’s highly-publicized ICE arrest.

There are currently no outstanding warrants against 21 Savage and no felonies on his record. He still awaits the day of his deportation hearing, which will determine whether or not he gets deported.
