Putting their differences aside, Birdman and Juvenile are now working on a collaborative album.
Birdman and Juve are planning to drop their joint album on Cash Money Records some time this year. Their first single for the project is “Just Another Gangsta” and a video has already been shot for it. In a clip from the video, we see the two rappers kicking it in front of a flossy whip.
Back in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Juve was the biggest artists on Cash Money with his 1998 classic album 400 Degreez reaching quadruple platinum status. Juvenile is THEE artist that put Cash Money Records on the map. Juve originally left left the label in 2001 due to contractual disputes with the label.
In 2003, Juvenile hit Cash Money with a lawsuit claiming he was cheated out of royalties. The two sides settled out of court and Juve returned to the label for one final album, Juve The Great, which went platinum in 2005. Juve would eventually leave Cash Money the following year to establish his rap crew UTP at Atlantic Records.
Since leaving Cash Money, Juvenile has also reunited with fellow Hot Boys members Mannie Fresh and Lil Wayne. In 2016, they dropped the song “Hate” as a promotional single. Rumors surfaced of a Mannie, Juve and Wayne releasing a collaborative project, but nothing has come to fruition.
