YG Donates $150,000 To Tech Organization ‘Girl Code LA’

YG wants young girls of diverse backgrounds to have opportunities in the tech world, so he’s writing a $150k check to make it happen.

YG delivered the check to Girl Code LA on August 1, 2018, which was a move inspired by his little girl. Girl Code is an L.A.-based organization founded by Dez White pushing to develop and expose young women to computer science, business and software.

YG tells TMZ, “With my donation, I hope they’ll be able to expand their reach of future female coders and programmers. I want to make sure I’m doing my part. I got a daughter and I respect the G Code.”
