Rapper MIMS scored a hit single with his song “This Is Why I’m Hot” but now he has entered the tech field. MIMS has teamed up with record producer DJ Blackout and record executive Erik Mendelson to create RecordGram.
RecordGram is a one stop shop that will allow an artist to find a track, make a song, shoot a video for the song, and market the song with both the artist and the producer getting paid in royalties. All of these actions take place on your mobile cell phone device and through the RecordGram mobile app.
RecordGram was awarded $50,000 at the 2017 Techcrunch Startup Battlefield Disrupt in New York for finishing in first place. With the industry connections and know how that team RecordGram has it will be interesting to see how this product progresses. Here’s how it all went down.
