ASAP Rocky is not totally off the hook in his legal saga with ASAP Relli just yet.
Rolling Stone reports Relli, real name Terrell Ephron, is moving forward with his civil lawsuit accusing his former associate of assault.
Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge William Fahey lifted a hold on Ephron’s case on Wednesday (Feb. 26) and has set the civil trial for Jan. 12, 2026. The next hearing in the civil lawsuit is set for May 28.
“So we intend to continue litigating this case,” Relli’s lawyer, Melissa Mikail, said in a virtual hearing. “The standard in a criminal case is much higher than the preponderance of the evidence standard in a civil matter. We still believe that our claims have merit, and we intend on fully litigating them.”
Rocky’s attorney, James Sargent, dismissed the lawsuit, arguing that the jury’s unanimous not-guilty verdict in the criminal trial should put an end to the matter. “There’s no longer a basis for them,” he told the judge.
“Mr. Ephron testified in the criminal case, and the jury’s acquittal speaks volumes.” Speaking outside the courtroom, Sargent made it clear they have no plans to settle, saying, “We look forward to full vindication.”
Rocky was acquitted on two felony counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm on Feb. 18 after being accused of firing the weapon at Relli, a former ASAP Mob associate. The incident took place in 2021, with Rocky later arrested in April 2022. Relli subsequently hit Rocky with the civil suit in August 2022.
