Rap star Lil Baby is back under fire. And unfortunately, this time around he has caught the eye of the Atlanta Police Department.
Lil Baby Cited as Catalyst For Atlanta Triple Shooting
Last July, Two 13-year-old boys were killed in Atlanta and the city’s police department believes Lil Baby is the catalyst. They said the “Dumb, Dumb, and Dumber,” artist knowingly went and recorded a music video. In a neighborhood territory, OMF (Only My Family) that rivals Baby’s 4PF (Four Pockets Full). And they thus deem him as one of the responsible parties.
“Gang violence that was orchestrated by adults. And the cowardly acts of an Atlanta-based rapper that decided to go into a rival gang stronghold in a place he knew he should not have been,” Atlanta Police Major Ralph Woolfolk said, per Channel 2 Action News, who confirmed that the officer was talking about Lil Baby.
“When gun violence touches this neighborhood and can claim the lives of two 13-year-olds, it touches every Atlanta neighborhood,” he added.
The incident occurred when JaKody Davis and Lamon Freeman, two teen boys were sitting on the stoop of their Atlanta apartment complex during a birthday party. That is when the gunman opened fire. And fatally shot Jakody and Lamon, with a third teen being injured as well.
Wooflock also sends a stern warning to everyone involved with the shooting.
“This team will work relentlessly to hold you accountable,” he added.
Baby has found himself in the middle of a lot of drama over the past several months. He has also been in a cold war with one of his former close friends Gunna.
Many have speculated that Gunna’s involvement in the YSL RICO case and Lil Baby’s close relationship with Young Thug has caused a strain in their relationship. In a recent interview with Charlemagne the God, 4PF head honcho says that he doesn’t see himself working with Gunna in the future. He also noted that he and Gunna do not currently have a relationship.
