On Black Friday, November 24th, legendary emcee Busta Rhymes will release his 10th solo LP, BlockBusta. Executive produced by “The Committee” as Swizz describes it, a group of iconic producers comprising himself (the “Student”), Pharrell (the “Pharaoh”) and Timbaland (the “King”), the album will be the follow up to 2020’s Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God.
In a “Global Announcement” shared yesterday, Busta is lauded by his producers in a short video detailing what’s to come. His “Light Your Ass on Fire” (2023) and “Pass the Courvoisier” (2002) collaborator Pharrell Williams (Skateboard P, one half of the Neptunes) effusively gives Busta his praise telling the Brooklyn icon that “he is illuminated” and “this illumination is good”. The video ends in a sequence giving the date and what appears to be a reveal of the album artwork.
Busta with this level of production talent supporting his 10th LP, BlockBusta on Black Friday will be an early gift for Hip Hop fans.
