Cam’ron is one of the most notable rappers in the history of the genre. And with him having a legendary career that has spanned for over 20 years you can bet that the famed Diplomats member has some stories to tell.
Cam’ron Recalls Wild Katt Williams Story
Cam doesn’t spend as much time in the booth these days. He switched the the media side with his It is What It Is Podcast. And with his newfound platform, he often goes viral for his explosive stories. He recently told a story where he had a wild encounter with Katt Williams after the comedian claimed a member of the Diplomats farted on him.
“As the night goes on, he’s flipping, Katt comes over to me and — I’m not naming no names, let’s just call him ‘Dipset X’ — he says, ‘Yo Cam, I think Dipset X farted on me.’ I’m like, ‘Farted on you? I don’t know if he farted on you,” Cam’ron recalled.
“He said, ‘Yeah, the n***a farted on me! I usually tag n***as behind shit like that.’ […] I see Katt walk around the room asking n***as, ‘Did you fart?’ Everybody said no, so Katt punches Dipset X in the face, dumb hard.”
After that, the Diplomats leader said he and Williams got into a momentary brawl.
“Off instinct, I grab Katt, flip him upside down, and slam him. And then as I’m about to kick him, I snap out of it. It was just a reflex; Dipset X is my man. Katt had like a hundred FOIs [Fruit of Islam] come in. We in a room that’s smaller than somebody’s living room.” In addition to the fight,
Cam’ron also says he lost the $30,000 Williams gave him for his appearance that night during the scuffle.
“We shuffling out and I’m like [to my crew], ‘Y’all at least could have grabbed the 30 thousand! Y’all ain’t even fight! I should take my belt off and beat the shit out y’all n***as, man’ [laughs].”
