DJ Akademiks Sends Warning to Joe Budden Over Potential Lawsuit Against 50 Cent

The ongoing feud between Power creator 50 Cent and rapper-turned-podcaster, Joe Budder, has taken an interesting turn. And that turn could place the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ artist in the middle of a legal battle. Budden has hinted at potentially bringing legal action toward the G-Unit artist.

Akademiks Warns Joe Budden Over 50 Cent Lawsuit

However, Budden’s former Everyday Struggle co-host, DJ Akademiks warns that a lawsuit against 50 Cent may not be worth it in the grand scheme of things. Especially because of the hypocrisy it would show based on how Budden treated Drake during his feud with Kendrick Lamar.

” There’s actually some precedence about AI-generated lawsuits. Joe, honestly, would be in the realm of being able to sue 50 Cent. I agree with him on a business level. I think this was bad optically, to say. Now, it makes you sound exactly like what you’ve criticized,” Akademiks said during a recent stream.

“A n**ga putting up an AI picture of you in a brief doesn’t hold a candle to a man calling you a pedophile.”

The situation involving Budden and Akademiks stemmed from the recent passing of Irv Gotti. Irv a 50 were bitter rivals in the early 2000s, in a feud so deep it would sometimes end in bloodshed.

Following Gotti’s passing in January, 50 showed no remorse for the Murder Inc founder, posting a picture on social media noting that he was “smoking on that Irv Gotti pack.”

That led to 50 suggesting therapy for 50 Cent and in response the artist had unleashed a barrage of AI-generated photos of Budden wearing his underwear. Seemingly in response to Joe’s indecent exposure arrest in January. On a recent episode of his podcast, Joe suggested that if 50 keeps at this pace, his lawyers may have to get involved.

“Because that’s illegal. You can’t take all those AI pics and just start [posting them],” Joe said.

“That’s 50. I got all the respect for him in the world. But if I get tired of it, and it stops paying, then, yeah, it’s lawyer time.”
