Drake made headlines last year during the explosive rap beef between him and rap star Kendrick Lamar. There were several unpleasantries exchanged in a series of songs between the artists. But none more notable than Kendrick’s Not Like Us.
OVO Preme Hits Back at Drake Critics
The overwhelming majority think that Kendrick’s release of Not Like Us ultimately won him the battle between him and Drake. Many even think the track may have ended Drake’s career. However, OVO artist Preme says that is not the case.
After Drake’s new hit ”NOKIA”, topped the Apple Music charts, dethroning Kendrick and SZA’s Luther, Preme says it’s clear that the boy is still on top.
“They said we were dead. They said it was over. They said the Super Bowl was checkmate. They said he should take a few years off and disappear. Back on top even while beefing with the label and it’s only April! This why yall hate the boy,” Preme wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter, with an accompanying screenshot.
The OVO artist also added: “The best revenge is success.”
Even though Drake appears to have moved on from his 2024 beef with Kendrick, he remains at the center of controversy. And this time it involves one of his most bitter rivals.
Drake released his new album “$exy $ongs 4 U” on Valentine’s Day. And he just revealed the merch for the album. It is apparel that features former video vixen, Melyssa Ford who is currently one of the cohosts of the Joe Budden Podcast. After seeing the merch, Ford went scorched earth on Drizzy.
“What the f**k is going on?! Where’s my check? Where’s my f*****g check? That’s what the fuck I want to know,” she said of Drake’s new merch. “I woke up to it. And I’m just like, ‘I have bigger fish to fry than this shit.’”
