The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will square off in Super Bowl 59 on Sunday, February 9. And with the two teams being among the best in football during the NFL season, all eyes were on this highly-anticipated matchup.
Fans Erupt After New Kanye West Commercial
While much of the action during the Super Bowl festivities is focused on the action on the field, there is just as much hype surrounding the commercials. One commercial for Grammy-winning artist Kanye West’s Yeezy brand commercial left fans speechless on social media.
“WHAT WAS THAT YEEZY COMMERCIAL?!” one person said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“They actually aired this theres no way,” another user added.
Chiefs Owner Talks Taylor Swift’s Impact
Whether the Chiefs win or lose, this could be the end of the Chiefs dynasty. There are several storylines to follow after the fallout of Sunday’s game. One of those storylines is the future of Chiefs starting tight end Travis Kelce.
A win on Sunday would give Kelce a fourth Super Bowl ring and in the eyes of many fans would solidify him as the greatest to ever play his position. And with him and his pop star beau Taylor Swift reportedly starting to hear wedding bells, there is a real possibility that Kelce could ride off into the sunset.
But Chiefs owner Clark Hunt is likely rooting for Kelce to continue playing. He says that since Swift and the Chiefs star became an item last season, the team has seen a significant growth in popularity.
“Well, I think indirectly, the NFL has seen an impact. Certainly, our fan base took a big leap forward last year – particularly with female, specifically young female fans,” Hunt said.
“I think we had something like a 30% growth in our fan base, which is pretty significant even for a team that won the Super Bowl. So you have to definitely give Taylor a little bit of credit for that… We still get a lot of eyeballs – this year, we’ve had several games and broken records, and I think Taylor is a little bit a part of that.”
