Serena Williams Makes Appearance During Super Bowl Halftime Show

There were several guests during Kendrick’s Super Bowl halftime performance. But the most notable guest was Serena Williams. Williams has a connection to Lamar as they are both from Compton, California but she is also Drake’s ex.

The song “Not Like Us,” takes aim at Drake and cameras panned to Williams dancing during the song which sent social media into a frenzy.

“KENDRICK THE GOAT,” one fan said X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Serena’s got moves!!” another user added.

Tupac’s Estate Slams Drake Over ‘Taylor Made’

Lamar and Drake were involved in a heated rap battle last summer. And amid the lyrical dispute, several lines were crossed. Drake came under fire when he dropped the song “Taylor Made,” which is an AI-generated track that is written through the lens of late hip-hop icon Tupac Shakur and even uses his computer-generated voice.

Although it was all fair in the heat of battle, the executors of Tupac’s estate did not see it that way. Upon the song’s release that estate slammed the rap star with a cease and desist to remove the song.

“The Estate is deeply dismayed and disappointed by your unauthorized use of Tupac’s voice and personality,” the estate’s attorney Howard King wrote, per Billboard. “Not only is the record a flagrant violation of Tupac’s publicity and the estate’s legal rights, but it is also a blatant abuse of the legacy of one of the greatest Hip-Hop artists of all time. The Estate would never have given its approval for this use.”

“The unauthorized, equally dismaying use of Tupac’s voice against Kendrick Lamar, a good friend to the Estate who has given nothing but respect to Tupac and his legacy publicly and privately, compounds the insult.”
