French Montana Opens Uganda Hospital To Serve 300,000 People In Need

French Montana was born and Morocco and raised in the South Bronx. Growing up in poverty himself Montana felt connected to the people of Uganda. His visit to Uganda was spawn by a YouTube video that he saw of three kids dancing to his hit single “Unforgettable”. Inspired by their joy in such impoverished conditions Montana planned a trip to Uganda and quickly connected with the people. He was given a tour of the Suubi Health Center and was made aware of the health care issues that the people of Uganda were facing. Being made aware gave Montana insight on ways that he could help expand the health care facility so that more people in Uganda with heath issues can be accommodated.

French Montana has stepped up to the plate and made a significant contribution to the Suubi “Hope” Health Center, which has now opened and it is able to serve 300,000 people in need.

Montana originally wanted to help provide resources for pregnant women in Uganda, but after The Weeknd matched French’s $100,000 donation and Diddy put up $200,000 for the cause the project expanded to building and opening the new hospital for residents.

Cheers to French and everyone involved.
