The hip-hop community was slammed with daunting news to start the week. Upcoming rapper G$ Lil Ronnie and his five-year-old daughter were shot and killed on March 2.
G$ Lil Ronnie, Toddler Child, Slain in Broad Daylight
According to TMZ, the incident occurred in the rising star’s hometown of Fort Worth. Ronnie had stopped by a car wash to clean his vehicle. And while seated in the vehicle, two men ambushed the car leaving the rapper and his daughter slain.
“Police say the violence erupted at 10:45 AM yesterday. At a car wash in the Fort Worth suburb of Forest Hill. Where Ronnie and his daughter, R’Mani, were seated inside his stationary car getting washed by machines,” TMZ writes.
“Suddenly, cops say 2 men jumped out of a white 4-door Kia and walked up to Ronnie’s vehicle with guns drawn, pumping bullets into the hip hop artist and his little girl.”
The outlet also adds that the police are still investigating the incident. But from viewing the available footage of the attack, it seems that Ronnie and his daughter were victims of a targeted incident.
“Videos circulating on X show the gunmen chasing Ronnie around the car wash, and Ronnie eventually lying dead on the ground near a red car. Cops say they’re reviewing surveillance footage that was leaked online,” the report adds.
“Police say the suspects got back into their vehicle and drove off. Officers raced to the shooting scene minutes later and attempted to save Ronnie and his little girl, but they both died.“
In addition, Fort Worth police have already identified one of the suspects and have issued a warrant for their arrest.
“Police say they’ve ID’d one of the shooters, and have issued a murder warrant for his arrest,” the outlet added.
