Sean “Jay-Z” Carter is ready to get his lick back. In 2024, the “Kingdom Come,” artist came under fire. After a lawsuit claimed that he and Sean “Diddy” Combs had sexually assaulted a 13-year-old girl at an industry party.
Jay-Z Sues He and Diddy’s Accuser
Earlier this year, the accuser dropped the lawsuit against Jay-Z and Diddy. But one of the music moguls isn’t letting their accusers off the hook that easily. A new report suggests that Jay-Z is suing his accuser. The Roc Nation founder says that she admitted to fabricating her story.
“Jay-Z is filing a lawsuit against the unnamed woman who accused him of rape last year, claiming she has now directly admitted that she fabricated those explosive allegations,” Billboard writes.
“The new case, filed weeks after the lawsuit against Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) was abruptly dropped last month, alleges that the Jane Doe accuser and her attorney, Tony Buzbee, carried out an “evil conspiracy” to extort a settlement from the superstar by making “false and malicious” allegations against him.”
Jay-Z is now off the hook as far as any legal matters are concerned. But unfortunately for Diddy, his problems are just beginning. In May the feds raided his Miami home as part of a sex trafficking operation, and in September he was arrested without bail.
Diddy’s case is set to begin on May 5 of this year. But the Bad Boy founder has been slapped with several other lawsuits in the process. Alleging horror stories from individuals he at one point seemed close to. To make matters worse one of his lawyers just dropped out on him. And as more allegations against Combs continue to come through the pipeline the likelihood of him being a free man again seems increasingly more slim.
With his case set to begin in the coming weeks, it will be interesting to see the fallout.
