Fresh from the release of his latest mixtape, “Halloween Havoc IV: The 72nd Hour,” Lloyd Banks is already setting his sights on his next full-length project. In an unconventional move, the former G-Unit member recently disclosed his plan to charge fans $100 for exclusive access to his upcoming album, “Cold Corner 3.”

Taking to Twitter, Banks declared, “CC3 won’t be on streaming sites. Only available through me for $100, then we’ll see if they back the talking up.” This pricing strategy mirrors a blueprint established by the late Nipsey Hussle, who, a decade ago, sold his 2013 mixtape, “Crenshaw,” for $100. Nipsey’s endeavor generated a staggering $100,000 as he sold all 1,000 physical copies of the mixtape within 24 hours. In subsequent years, the iconic rapper took it a step further by offering his 2015 project, “Mailbox Money,” at a price of $1,000 each, selling 60 copies in less than a month.

Lloyd Banks has not yet announced a specific release date for “Cold Corner 3.” If the album does make its debut this year, it will mark the third full-length project from the New York rapper, following the release of “The Course Of The Inevitable 3: Pieces Of My Pain” in April and this week’s “Halloween Havoc IV: The 72nd Hour.”

The “Cold Corner” mixtape series has been a hallmark of Banks’ career, with the first two installments dropping in 2009 and 2011, respectively.
