Mac Miller’s Alleged Dealer Charged With Mac’s Death

According to a report TMZ federal prosecutors filed charges against Cameron James Pettit, a 28-year-old man they claim sold Mac Miller counterfeit oxycodone pills that contained fentanyl. According to a toxicology report from last year, Miller died as a result of accidentally overdosing on alcohol, cocaine and fentanyl.

Prosecutors allege that Pettit sold Miller the pills two days before the rapper’s death. After Pettit’s friends sent him direct messages on Instagram about Miller’s death, Pettit voiced his concern about the situation.

The docs allege that, when asked how he was doing, Pettit said, “I am not great … Most likely I will die in jail.” He also apparently told friends that it was best for him to avoid posting on social media after news of Miller’s death broke. Pettit was reportedly detained earlier today.

There are reportedly two other people authorities believe sold Miller counterfeit drugs, but it’s unknown whether they have been detained or charged in relation to Mac Miller’s death.
