The moment has seemingly arrived for fans of Playboi Carti – the wait for his highly-anticipated project I AM MUSIC is no more.
The artist himself made the announcement on Instagram, confirming that the elusive project is set to release this Friday, March 14.
“I want this album to make everyone feel free,” Carti said. “I hope this album brings peace to the world, honestly. I’m in love with what I’m doing. Like I told you, you can’t put a genre alternative [on me].”
Playboi Carti has been ramping up the rollout for I AM MUSIC recently after years of speculation and conflicting reports. Last month, billboards in Miami and Los Angeles displayed messages like “MUSIC IS COMING” and “I AM MUSIC MF” in Carti’s signature font.
Carti’s Album Alleged Riddled with A-list Features
DJ Akademiks claimed to have heard the album on Thursday (March 13), and he’s already championing it as a “day one classic.”
“CARTI got Pluto slime Uzi Trav Weeknd floating on dat bih. I nearly shed a tear listening to the s**t. This shit for everybody I SWEAR. Btw purple hair Uzi back,” he wrote, following it up with another proclamation minutes later on the social media platform. “MOST COMPLETE ALBUM w songs for everybody. all hits no misses. Block me if I’m lying when u hear it tm night.”
Before hitting the road for tour with The Weeknd, Carti will debut the project live when he takes the stage at Rolling Loud California 2025 this weekend at Hollywood Park.
