A$AP Rocky continues to rack up the wins in 2025. The “Fashion Killa” artist was recently out and about at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year and now he is adding being in a Spike Lee Joint to his extensive portfolio.
Spike Lee Praises A$AP Rocky
Rocky will be featured in an upcoming Spike Lee movie — one of the highest honors in the film industry. The film, titled Highest 2 Lowest will be Rocky’s first time in a Spike Lee movie, and he has already caught the attention of the legendary Hollywood director.
“And ASAP, man. Fire,” Lee said during a recent appearance at 7 pm in Brooklyn. “I mean, there’s some scenes with him and D head to head, he ain’t backing up. It’s like, ‘I’m here, too!’ Very, very happy with the way the film turned out and looking forward to sharing with the world.”
2025 has been an up-and-down year for the Harlem native. Rocky was facing up to 24 years in prison for his alleged attempted gun assault on his former friend A$AP Rellie. After being acquitted in his weapon assault trial in Los Angeles in February, the rapper announced some major news.
Rocky reached an agreement to become the creative director of Ray-Ban, a luxury sunglasses company.
Following the announcement, Ray-Ban President Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio shared his excitement about welcoming Rocky to the iconic brand.
“[Rocky is] a visionary artist and creator. His ability to push the boundaries of the diverse worlds he explores aligns with the Ray-Ban DNA’,” Del Vecchio said. We are reinforcing the brand’s values of innovation, pioneering spirit, and courage. Let the future begin.”.
A$AP Rocky also released a statement, noting that he has “always admired” the company.
“I’ve always admired Ray-Ban’s ability to stay true to its roots while constantly evolving,” the rap star said in a statement. “So I’m excited to be part of the strong heritage and develop the next chapter for an iconic brand like Ray-Ban.”
