Music star Travis Scott has quickly risen to the top of the music charts. But he may have another trick up his sleeve. According to wrestling insider Sean Ross of Fightful Select, The “Astroworld” artist has begun training to potentially become a WWE star.
Travis Scott is Training For Potential WWE Career
This comes in the wake of Scott’s appearance at WWE’s premium live event, Elimination Chamber on March 1. Travis was featured in the closing segment where John Cena and the Rock assaulted WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. Following the premium live event, The Rock praised the rap star for how much he actually “Loves The Business.”
“He loves the business. We get guys and girls like that who want to come in and are already tapping into culture and disrupting culture in their own cool way. Maybe they want to sit and enjoy, maybe they want to be on camera,” The Rock said of Travis.
“But then some want to get involved. And then some, like Travis, deeply want to get involved. And that’s what you saw tonight.”
This wouldn’t be the first time that a music star has entered the professional wrestling ring. Bad Bunny has also competed in WWE in the past and is even a playable character in the WWE video game.
However, Scott came under fire from many fans after a closer angle of WWE’s staged assault showed Travis actually hitting Rhodes in the face. Though some fans pointed out the danger in what Travis did, the Rock did not seem to deem it problematic.
“He wanted to get his hands bloody,” The Rock added. “I whispered to him as he was going out [to the ring]. I said, ‘If you’re gonna get your hands bloody, make it count. Make it count. He slapped the s**t of Cody tonight. He was really, really hyped up.”
Scott has enjoyed a wildly successful music career. But it hasn’t stopped him from trying his hand in other endeavors. He also has one of the more successful sneaker lines under the Jordan brand and has even had his own McDonald’s meal. It looks like Travis looking to add being a WWE star to his extensive portfolio.
