Two Men Arrested In Connection With Tekashi69’s Bodyguard Being Shot

On the evening of October 26th a member of Tekashi69’s team was shot outside of Chinese-fusion restaurant Philippe Chow in New York City. Police are saying they have apprehended Zachary Bunce and Faheem Walter, two 6ix9ine associates identified as suspects in connection to the incident.

The incident began unfolding when friends of Tekashi attempted to dine with the rapper. 6ix9ine had been invited to dinner with 10K Projects exec Elliot Grainge, but his friends were not allowed in. A private security guard denied them access and the rapper, born Daniel Hernandez, left the scene. Later on his crew, which included Bunce and Tekashi’s bodyguard Walter, began attacking the armed guard.

Deputy Inspector Kathleen Walsh from the NYPD 19th Precinct reports: “These males came back a short time later and struck one of the private security guards over the head with a chair. This security guard produced a licensed handgun and fired two times, striking one of the individuals in the torso.”

Walter was struck by the guard and later taken to the hospital to be treated for a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Him and Bunce have both been charged with gang assault.

The investigation into Friday’s incident is ongoing. Reports state Tekashi “likely did nothing wrong.”
