ARTIST OF THE DAY

Artist Of The Day: J. Walker Is An Inspiration

At the age of 8 years old J. Walker got the inspiration to write music. Inspired so much by listening to the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s music he figured that he would give it a shot. Writing throughout the years Walker gave up his baseball career for my passion an love of music. At 17 he first discovered how to record with a webcam, so he through a couple tracks out on the web.

Then bought a small rinky dinky microphone and through more tracks out there for people to hear. Few months later, invested into a M-Audio an a little bit better equipment to use an started to make it happen. At 19 Walker completed my first show in Charlotte, drawing attention an advice. At the time he went homeless, moved 3 times an was never settled enough to call home “home”.

Lived in Conover at the time, with no cable, no wifi, water didn’t run the 1st week, an listened to the same beats, rewrote to them so many times an just practiced. Got away from Conover, came back to his father’s (parents were split up at this time) met probation & really went down hill.

20 years old, something hit him and changed my view about life. He started making some ground. Now he’s geared and ready releasing his new single on Spotify entitled “Spaz”.

J. Walker may be a name to remember in the upcoming year.
