XXXTenacion Releases Spine Chilling New Video For “Look At Me”

Florida rapper and holder of the number 2 spot on Billboard’s 200 Chart XXXTenacion is capping off a summer full of rescheduled battery trials, first round knockouts and the release of his latest album, 17, with a new video for his breakout single “Look At Me”, a visual smorgasbord of angst, frustration and violence surrounding racial injustices of the past and present.

Directed by JMP and Creative Directed by XXX himself, “Look At Me” is almost 5 and a half minutes of intense jumpings, riots, beatings, references to innocently slain young black men from Emmitt Till to Philando Castile, and several hanging scenes, culminating with XXX deciding to put a young white child in a noose and hoist him up himself in the middle of a school presentation. Somewhat reminiscent of T.I.’s “Warzone” video from last year, where Black cops and White victims are shown in re-enactments of infamous police brutality instances, “Look At Me” is intentionally juxtaposed to draw emotions, incite outrage, and (possibly) ultimately initiate conversations about racial violence and potential solutions to the problems he and his peers feel are being thrown at their feet.

Shit is crazy. Check out the video and let us know what you think!
