Young Thug claims a minor but not insignificant victory in his ongoing fight to reclaim his belongings.
Multiple reports say a Georgia judge has ruled the state must return some luxury jewelry seized during the May 2022 raids that led to his arrest.
The confiscated items were part of a $149,426 collection that included cash, firearms, and high-end accessories. Among the pieces set to be returned are a Rolex Datejust engraved with “King Slime,” a diamond cross pendant, a necklace with green jewels, a diamond tennis necklace, and a pair of diamond stud earrings. Rafaello & Company, the jeweler believed to have supplied the pieces, has also reclaimed ownership.
However, there’s no word on whether Thug will get back the money, firearms, or vehicles that he also demanded be returned.
Among the rapper’s fleet is a 2022 Chevrolet Corvette, 2021 Mercedes-Benz GLS Maybach, two Mercedes-Benz AMG GTs, a 2021 Dodge Durango, a 2022 Porsche 911, and a 2015 Can-Am Spyder.
Young Thug is continuing to get his life back in order since his historic trial and has already booked his first live show.
On Tuesday, Les Ardentes music festival announced that the Atlanta rapper will headline the event this summer. Thugger’s performance, which is scheduled for July 5 in Belgium, will be his first live set since his arrest in 2022.
Other notable artists like J Balvin and Ken Carson will also perform at the festival.
