21 Savage has officially begun the rollout for his fourth studio album.
The rap star turned heads with just a one-word social media post on Sunday Night (December 7), where he appeared to tease new music coming in December.

That news was confirmed when he dropped the trailer for the upcoming project, named What Happened to The Streets. The project will drop this coming Friday, December 12.

With nearly two years having passed since 21 dropped a project, fans were understandably excited by the news.
“ALBUM??? WE’RE SO F*****G READY THE VISUALS LOOK SICK,” one fan wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Hopefully ending the year on a high note going into 2026, can’t wait,” another user added.
“21 Savage hate is so forced. He never misses, and this album will be FIRE,” a third user chimed in.
The rap landscape has drastically changed since he last dropped. Kendrick Lamar and Drake were not beefing, Young Thug and Gunna’s beef had yet to be confirmed, and he and Latto’s (alleged) relationship was still hip-hop’s best-kept secret.
With so much having changed since his last drop, there will be a couple of things to look for. Such as who will be featured on the project. Past projects have featured artists such as Gunna, 21 Savage, Future, and Drake. But with a large portion of the rap industry still at odds, it will be interesting to see if he picks a side.
The rap star’s third studio album, American Dream, was released in January 2024 and served as the soundtrack to his biographical film. Hit like Redrum and Nee Nah helped 21 Savage’s third studio album claim the top spot on the Billboard 200 after selling 133,000 units in its first week, including 4,000 pure album sales.
Let’s see if he can outdo himself with this next project.
