Before the chart-toppers and platinum plaques, XXXTENTACION was the SoundCloud scene’s wildest outlier—fusing rage, emotion, and complete unpredictability into a sound that sparked a movement. His catalog on the platform is still a blueprint for a whole generation of DIY artists who refuse to be boxed in.

As we reflect on his impact, here are four SoundCloud-era classics that still hit just as hard:
#PROUDCATOWNER #IHATERAPPERS #IEATPU**Y
This track isn’t just a song—it’s a digital tantrum set to blown-out 808s. With lo-fi energy and a distorted vocal mix that sounds like it was recorded through a broken iPhone mic, X swings at the rap game with reckless abandon. The delivery is wild, the mix is chaotic, and the energy? Completely unmatched. It’s SoundCloud rap in its purest form—raw, rule-breaking, and aggressively honest.
Sippinteainyohood
Clocking in at just over a minute, this lo-fi R&B slow-burner is a quiet standout in X’s early catalog. “Sippinteainyohood” drips with emotion, capturing a mood more than a moment. He trades screams for croons here, delivering soft melodies over hazy production. It’s introspective, vulnerable, and proof that even in the shortest runtimes, X knew how to strike a nerve.
Look at Me!
“Look at Me!” wasn’t just a breakout single—it was a sonic rebellion. From its blown-out bass to X’s wild, off-kilter delivery, this track bulldozed its way into the mainstream while still sounding completely underground. It was gritty, jarring, and disruptive in the best way possible. If SoundCloud had a national anthem, this would be it.
Hope
Released as a tribute to the victims of the Parkland shooting, “Hope” showed a more reflective side of X. Over a simple, somber instrumental, he offers words of comfort and vulnerability that stand in stark contrast to his more chaotic catalog. It’s a reminder that beneath the controversy and noise, X was a voice for pain, healing, and emotional honesty.
