Sharing the clip on social media, 50 wrote, “I know you’re gonna say I’m a hater, but what do you say about what he’s saying fool? LOL ass down the street!” His caption quickly drew attention, as fans revisited the controversial verse, which references Jay-Z interacting with a young woman described as being 19 years old.
The lyrics, originally released in the mid-2000s, have circulated online before, but 50 Cent’s repost reignited debate around their content—particularly given that Jay-Z was approximately 36 years old at the time the song was released. Some listeners have criticized the verse for its subject matter, while others argue it reflects a different cultural moment in hip-hop.
As with many moments involving 50 Cent, the post appears to blur the line between trolling, commentary, and long-running rivalries within rap culture—once again proving that old lyrics can take on new life in today’s social media era.
