50 Cent is thrilled to have a powerful new business neighbor in Shreveport, Louisiana. The rap mogul recently reacted to news that Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg plans to invest billions into building a new artificial intelligence facility in the city.
In a since-deleted Instagram post, 50 wrote: “I told y’all all roads lead to Shreveport.”
The G-Unit boss has been making major moves in the city himself. Earlier this year, he announced plans for the G-Dome, a massive arena inspired by the Las Vegas Sphere. The project is part of a broader expansion that includes G-Unit Studios, which 50 hopes to develop into both a working production hub and a tourist destination.
The expansion is being supported by local government committees. As part of the effort, 50 was granted a decades-long lease on the Stageworks building, which he plans to convert into a state-of-the-art sports and entertainment venue. The facility will host everything from basketball and volleyball games to concerts, car shows, boxing, MMA, and conventions.
At a recent city meeting, 50 expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome:
“In a short period of time, I’ve come to like the people of Shreveport in a different way. It feels like home for me, and eventually it’ll be home because I have some work to do. I promise you, I’ll overdeliver with Shreveport.”
The deal grants 50 a 30-year lease at just $200 a month, with an option to extend another 15 years. While his G-Unit Films & Television company will cover all operational and maintenance costs, the rapper sees the venture as an investment in both the city’s economy and its cultural future.
With Zuckerberg bringing tech dollars to Shreveport and 50 Cent pouring energy into entertainment and sports infrastructure, the Louisiana city could soon become an unlikely hub for innovation and culture.
