50 Cent is wasting no time trolling Floyd Mayweather after the undefeated boxing legend announced he’s officially coming out of retirement to fight professionally again.
Mayweather recently revealed that following his upcoming exhibition match with Mike Tyson, he plans to return to professional boxing in pursuit of more records and major events. In a statement, Mayweather expressed confidence in his continued drawing power.
“I still have what it takes to set more records in the sport of boxing,” Mayweather said. “From my upcoming Mike Tyson event to my next professional fight afterwards, no one will generate a bigger gate, have a larger global broadcast audience and generate more money with each event than my events.”
However, longtime rival 50 Cent quickly mocked the announcement on Instagram, writing, “Broke gotta box till ya drop champ, ain’t nobody gonna watch that sh*t. LOL.”
50 Cent’s comments come amid ongoing reports about Mayweather’s financial situation. In December 2025, Business Insider reported that the former champion had accumulated approximately $54 million in debt. Mayweather has also publicly claimed that Showtime owes him $340 million, leading him to pursue legal action against the network.
The Hip-Hop mogul has previously criticized Mayweather’s spending habits, often suggesting that the boxer earned massive paydays but failed to make long-term investments. Now, Mayweather’s decision to return to professional competition after eight years away from the sport has fueled speculation about his motivations.
Despite the criticism, Mayweather remains confident that his return will once again capture global attention and generate massive revenue. Meanwhile, 50 Cent’s reaction continues their long-running public feud, adding another chapter to one of entertainment’s most persistent rivalries.
