50 Cent is always making fun of someone, and it appears his next target is Rick Ross. On Tuesday (July 21st), 50 Cent clowned Ross about one of his favorite topics — album sales.
Why Is 50 Cent Making Fun Of Rick Ross?
On Instagram, Fif poked fun at Ricky Rozay.
“I just saw your record sales LOL 2,000 WTF,” 50 Cent posted.
He’s referring to Ross’ opening streaming numbers, which hit around 1.4M on Spotify on release day. While Millions of streams seems like a good number, in an album sense, it’s a poor performance. 1.4M streams is the equivalent of a little over 1,300 albums sold. Apparently, that number hasn’t grown much since, with Fif claiming Ross has only hit enough streams for the equivalent of 2,000 albums.
A quick check on Ross’ Spotify yields a grim result.
Only two of his songs passed a million plays on Spotify, the two previously released singles “Mahogany Caskets” and “Minks In Miami.” Outside of that, his opening track “Cartier Bumps,” sits at over 269,000 streams. Most songs clear the hundred the two hundred thousand stream mark, but struggle to go much higher. The only other songs that do are his BigXThaPlug collaboration “Living Large,” and his linkup with Jeezy and Don Toliver “Maybach Music VII.”
Some songs bricked even harder, as both his collaboration with Young Breed and DJ Nasty “Do It One Time,” and more damningly, his connect with Yung Miami, who’s hot off her hit single “Spend Dat,” on the track “She’s My Star,” haven’t even crossed the hundred thousand mark.
Despite this, Rick Ross’ new album Set In Stone reached No.1 on the ITunes Hip Hop/R&B Charts.
It’s important to note that Ross clowned 50 initially, after 50 Cent’s baby mother Daphne Joy had a sextape with Diddy leaked online.
“Nah, for real though, I don’t know what that’s like. I can only imagine,” Rick Ross jested. “That n***a had that choppa in that n***a baby momma’s mouth. But I’m gonna let you know, 50 take it like a playa. You had a child with a sex worker… I mean, she’s a sex worker, no big deal.”
Ross has not responded to 50 Cent’s roasting as of this writing.

Although the FINAL numbers for Rick Ross' new album 'Set In Stone' aren't officially in 50 Cent has decided to clown him regardless.
The album opened on Spotify with 1.38 Million streams in 1 day which the equivalent to 1,220 albums sold which isn't… pic.twitter.com/WzH7EJQ9xS
How Did Fans React To Fif Roasting Ross?
Fans did not hold back their jokes in 50 Cent’s comment section.
“Tory [Lanez] beat him out from prison lmaoooo,” one user posted.
“Start selling them wing stop stores, officer Down!!,” another user posted.
“To his credit, his album was trash,” another user posted.
“1 episode off power got more sales than Ross opening week sales,” another user posted.
The Billboard numbers for Ross’ album will drop next week and will tell the full story if his album flopped, or recovered. But, as previously reported with the stream count, it’s not looking good for the “Maybach Music” rapper.
