50 Cent ‘Final Lap’ Tour Was a Victory Lap, Boasts Impressive Numbers

The rapper, who embarked on his farewell “Final Lap” tour last summer, took to social media this week to celebrate a wildly successful run, hinting that retirement might have to wait.

“Final Lap” wasn’t just a catchy name; it was intended as a definitive curtain call on a legendary career. However, the tour’s performance suggests 50 Cent’s fans just aren’t ready to say goodbye. Early reports, later confirmed by the rapper himself, indicate the tour grossed over $84 million across 94 shows in 24 countries. These numbers position “Final Lap” as the second highest-grossing hip-hop tour ever, trailing only Jay-Z and Beyonce’s “On the Run II” tour.

Social media was abuzz with fan reactions to 50 Cent’s triumphant post. Many expressed their hope for a future tour, with some jokingly suggesting the “Final Lap” might need a few more laps. Industry insiders speculate that the tour’s success, coupled with 50 Cent’s undeniable stage presence, could lead to a renegotiation of his retirement plans.

This wouldn’t be the first time 50 Cent has teased a comeback. The rapper famously announced his retirement in 2008 before returning to music just two years later. Whether “Final Lap” truly marks the end of his touring career remains to be seen.

One thing’s for sure: 50 Cent has proven he can still draw a crowd. With his lucrative business ventures and thriving television career, a return to music would be a victory lap for a hip-hop icon who defied expectations and delivered a “Final Lap” that felt more like a victory lap.
