Former rap star Fat Joe found himself in some hot water in June. After getting slapped with a lawsuit by his former hypeman Terrance “T.A.

Dixon. In an explosive complaint, Dixon alleges that the Lean Back creator is guilty of, engaging in “coercive labor exploitation, financial fraud, sexual manipulation, violent intimidation, and psychological coercion.”

50 Cent Blasts Rumor That Fat Joe Tried to Have Assassinated

One such case of “violent intimidation” referenced in the case has to do with his former nemesis 50 Cent. The two New York City artists have since reconciled. But at one point in time, they had one of the more bitter rivalries that the rap game had seen. Dixon alleges that at the height of their beef, Fat Joe tried to execute a murder-for-hire plot against the Get Rich or Die Tryin’ creator.

“[Fat Joe] engaged in a calculated and premeditated conspiracy to murder rapper Curtis Jackson. But 50 Cent was surrounded by ‘Navy Seal’ type security, and the would-be assassins were afraid to make the attempt,” the complaint reads.

However, 50 recently took to social media to shut down what he calls “baseless claims” being made by Dixon.

“These baseless, accusations and claims are not credible. I’m sorry Joe has to endure the public scrutiny and damage to his reputation. THIS A STICK UP! I wrote this hook I should a kept this one,” 50 Wrote in the post.

Joe showed his appreciation for 50 Cent’s support in the comments section of the post, writing a “100” emoji.

Fat Joe’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, echoed the same sentiment as 50 Cent. . in a statement hitting back at Dixon’s lawsuit, Tacopina says that their litigation is just a failed attempt at “retaliation.” After Fat Joe filed a civil defamation lawsuit against the hypeman earlier this year.

“The lawsuit filed by Tyrone Blackburn and Terrance Dixon is a blatant act of retaliation—a desperate attempt to deflect attention from the civil suit we filed first, which exposed their coordinated scheme to extort Mr. Cartagena through lies, threats, and manufactured allegations,” Tacopina said in the statement.
