On October 3, music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs was sentenced to 50 months in prison on federal prostitution charges.
Diddy came out on the losing end in his federal trial. But he scratched and clawed to evade prison time at all costs. And it is easy to see why, after a recent account of an incident that occurred during his time at the Brooklyn Detention Center.
50 Cent Mocks Diddy’s Near-Death Prison Experience
According to Charlucci Finney, a close associate of the Bad Boy Records founder, Diddy was nearly a victim of a prison attack during his time at the New York City-based prison. And while Finney’s revelation was a serious matter to many, Comb’s longtime rival, 50 Cent, found the situation to be quite humorous. He expressed his feelings with a scathing social media post.
“Is he snitching now?” 50 wrote in an Instagram post that has since been deleted (via HotNewHipHop). “They put a knife to his Neck and said South Side we’re side. LOL.”
According to Finney’s account, Combs woke up with a knife to his throat during his time being held without bail.
“He woke up with a knife to his throat,” Finney recalled to the Daily Mail. “I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came, I just know that it happened.”
Finney also said that the frightening part about the entire debacle is that if the culprit really wanted to harm the music mogul, the opportunity was there.
“If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed. It would only take a second to cut his throat with a weapon and kill him,” he added. “It was probably a way to say: ‘Next time you ain’t gonna be so lucky.’ Everything is intimidation. But with Sean, it won’t work. Sean is from Harlem.”
Combs is scheduled to be released from prison in May 2028.
