Floyd Mayweather is facing more financial issues. And this time it’s even more serious as he could be facing felony charges. With Floyd’s troubles appearing to be worsening, his longtime nemesis, 50 Cent, appeared to offer to lend a helping hand.
50 Cent Offers to Help Mayweather Amid Legal Trouble
In a post shared to his social media account on Tuesday (June 16), 50 Cent sent a message to the ex-boxing star. And offered to help him with his apparent legal woes.
‘”Damn, Champ, WTF is up? If you need some money, just call me. We could have kept this s**t from getting this messy. Now the Feds are looking for you, love you bro, I’m not mad at you no more, call me,” he captioned the post, which featured a screenshot of the report.
However, 50 Cent is a documented social media troll. So many people in the comments section were skeptical about whether he was being genuine or not.
“I don’t know if 50 is serious or being sarcastic,” one user wrote underneath the post.
“As soon as he calls or texts @50cent gone post the hell out of the screenshots,” a second user chimed in.
“Why don’t you call him instead of posting if you are real like that?” a third user remarked.
According to a June 16 report from ESPN, Mayweather is accused of passing a bad check to purchase a $200,000 watch in Las Vegas. The complaint stems from a December 2024 incident where he purchased an Audemars Piguet watch from Gold & Beyond. A high-end resale boutique in Sin City.
According to the store owners, Mayweather wrote the check when he did not have the means to pay for the watch, knowing that the check would not clear.
He is now facing two felony charges. Alleging theft and “intent to defraud” by passing a bad check.
If convicted, he faces a maximum of four years in prison.
