DaBaby looks poised to make a comeback and rap legend 50 Cent is starting to take notice.

50 Cent Shows Love to DaBaby After Scoring #1 Hit

The rapper released his the remix to his hit single Pop Dat Thang. A track in which he taps Glorilla, Yung Miami and YK niece. And as a result, the orginal record which appears on his 2026 project, Be More Grateful is making even more waves. Per Chart Data Pop Dat Thang, it is the highest-charting rap song on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. It is also the Charlotte native’s first #1 on Hot Rap Songs since 2020.

50 Cent has taken notice of DaBaby’s rise back to superstardom. And showed him love in a recent social media post.

“BACK ON THE MAP 🔥 #1,” the Power creator wrote in an Instagram post on Tuesday (May 12).

DaBaby became the subject of major backlash following his comments during his Rolling Loud performance in July 2021. The rapper made homophobic and derogatory comments regarding LGBTQ+ individuals and people living with HIV/AIDS during the music festival in Miami. These remarks led to him being removed from other scheduled festival performances and major backlash overall.

But now the rapper appears to be ready to retake the throne. And as for how he stacks up against other top talents in the game? DaBaby feels like he is truly the best rapper out.

“You can go back to when I first started. I always said like .. I’m the best mu*******n rapper. You know I’ve been saying it. And I often say it like when I’m doing my freestyles or whatever .. but I definitely do mean that,” he said in a clip shared by Kurrco on X. “And of course I feel like everybody should feel like they’re the best, but I’m not talking like that when I say that I’m better than these n****s, I really mean that. I really feel like I can go anywhere musically.”
