50 Cent is stepping back into the ring—literally. While in Sydney this past week, the rap mogul turned entertainment heavyweight was spotted shooting scenes for the upcoming Street Fighter live-action film, where he’s set to play Balrog, the fan-favorite bruiser from the legendary video game series.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson teased his jaw-dropping transformation on Instagram, showing off a leaner frame and a sharp new look that perfectly channels Balrog’s signature vibe. “I don’t expect you to understand my level of discipline but watch it, it’s entertaining,” he wrote, hinting not only at the upcoming release but also a potential sequel: “Street Fighter coming soon, then Street Fighter II BALROG.”
Behind the scenes, Fif been sharing glimpses of his grind to embody the boxer, mixing humor with his trademark bravado. “Work hard when they hardly working, and they will be surprised at the outcome,” he captioned another post. “I hit a [ninja] he gonna see a white light and hear Jesus say come to me child. LOL Street Fighter coming soon.”
Fans caught him in good spirits at the airport, beaming as he chatted with supporters before heading to a waiting car—no doubt energized by both the role and his growing portfolio beyond music.
Because Street Fighter isn’t the only screen takeover on the Queens emcee’s agenda. Just days before, he revealed that he officially secured the rights to the cult classic Paid in Full. The Harlem hustler story is now being developed as a premium TV series, with none other than Cam’ron—one of the original film’s stars—set to executive produce alongside him.
“I now have the rights to PAID IN FULL. I’m developing it into a premium TV show,” 50 Cent posted. “If you like Godfather of Harlem, you’re gonna love this.”
From his blockbuster Power universe to his latest ventures in film, television, and now video game adaptations, 50 Cent is proving his entertainment hustle has no ceiling. Whether he’s stepping into Balrog’s gloves in Sydney or bringing Harlem legends to the small screen, Curtis Jackson is still moving like he’s got something to prove.
