Much of the world is still mourning the death of Murda Inc. founder Irv Gotti. But not everyone is feeling melancholy about the hip-hop giant’s passing. Namely his long-time rival, 50 Cent. Gotti’s Murda Inc. and 50 Cent’s G-Unit had a heated rivalry in the early 2000s and some of the incidents led to bloodshed. Following Gotti’s passing 50 Cent took one final shot at his long-time rival.

“Smoking on that Gotti pack, nah God bless him LOL,” the rap star said on February 8.
Joe Budden, 50 Cent Trade Jabs
50’s response to Gotti’s passing lit a fire under rapper-turner-podcaster Joe Budden. In response to the February 8 Instagram post, Budden said that he believes 50 needs therapy.
“Y’all always mix it up, because ‘Hip-Hop’ is the new meaning for ‘I need therapy,’” Budden said on a recent episode of his self-named podcast.
“Kanye West needs therapy. 50 Cent needs therapy. I don’t care if you agree with the rationale. And 50’s 50, he gon’ stand in it.”
50 apparently caught wind of Budden’s comments. On February 18 he hit back at the “Pump It Up” artist. And the G-Unit head honcho did not hold back.
“Stay out my mix Joe talking about I need therapy,” 50 wrote in the social media post. “B***h you need to stop walking around naked. The f**k is you doing in the hallway with ya balls out PUNK!,” He added seemingly in reference to Budden being caught naked sleepwalking on a neighbor’s ring camera in January.
Per usual, 50 Cent did not stop there. He took more shots at Budden in a separate Instagram post, a few moments later, doubling down on his comments.
“They just told Joe what I said, yeah I mean what I said PUNK!” he added.
With Budden and 50 being two of the most outspoken voices in hip-hop, it will be interesting to see if this beef persists.
