6ix9ine could be heading back to jail soon. But before a judge ultimately decides his fate, the rap star is getting the opportunity to make sure his affairs are in order following a frightening altercation earlier this month.
6ix9ine Requests Delayed Sentencing Following Home Invasion
Four men entered the rap star’s Florida home, armed, to pull off a home invasion. Unfortunately, 6ix9ine’s mother was at home during the time of the burglary. So they held her down at gunpoint while they trashed his home.
According to a new report from Grouchy Greg Watkins of AllHipHop, the Gummo artist has been granted a delay in his sentencing. To relocate his mother and ensure that she is safe.
The outlet confirmed that the rapper’s lawyer, Lance Lazzaro, spoke with the AUSA, who “consented” to the request.
Following the home invasion, 6ix9ine called out the assailants who ransacked his home. Noting that they waited for him to be away from his house to execute the burglary.
“Yesterday, they allowed me to leave for work. People saw that I was on a livestream with Jack Doherty. They took that opportunity to f******g do some p*ssy sh*t. It’s me, so I get it,” he said in the video.
“The rules are different for me. If it were your favorite artist, your favorite actor, and that was done, they don’t get any cool points for that. My mom is 60 years old. Y’all know I’m supposed to come home,” he said. “Y’all know I’m home all the time. I’m on house arrest. So, y’all take the opportunity that I’m not home and y’all see me on livestream with Jack Doherty in Miami and y’all do that. That’s p****y s**t.”
The rap star could be heading back to jail after violating the terms of his supervised release. He received supervised release from the government in exchange for turning state’s evidence in the 2019 Tr3y Way trial. However, it is unclear how long he could go to prison.
