Rap artist Tekashi 6ix9ine is no stranger to instigating rap beef. And during a recent appearance on the One Night With Steiny Podcast, he did just that.
6ix9ine Rips Jim Jones For His Treatment of Treyway Member
6ix9ine appeared on the podcast with another instigator, social media star Charleston White. And he had a lot to say about rap artist Jim Jones. Specifically related to the treatment of Jones’ long-time friend, and Trey Way member, Mel Murda, who was just released from prison.
Jones posted a video to social media on August 28 of him meeting Mel Murda after he was released from prison after a two-year sentence. However, 6ix9ine called out the former Diplomats member because of the lack of support he has shown to Mel Murda after being home for nearly a month.
“One of the grandfathers of Nine Trey Bloods just came home, Mel Murda,” the rap star began. “A grandfather, a high-ranking Blood member, came home early. Mel Murda came home, and [Jim Jones] met him at a train station with no money, no chain. He gave him a little chain, two days later.”
6ix9ine also scolded Jones for not picking Mel Murda up from prison. Noting how he picked him up from the Metro North train station in New York City. Which meant he had to carry his belongings home in a garbage bag.
“He met him at a train station, and he made him take the Metro North. […] He didn’t even pick him up at the prison; he made him take a train with that big garbage bag that they give you when you get released from prison,” he added.
6ix9ine noted that Jones’ alleged lack of support for Mel Murda is a prime example of why it doesn’t pay to be “real.”
“This is why it doesn’t matter to be real,” the rap star concluded. “When you’re real and you take your time, your homies pick you up and make you take the train. Ain’t no rewards.”
