Tekashi 6ix9ine just learned that he is not as untouchable as he once thought. As several probation violations over the past months have landed him in hot water. He is now facing prison time.
6ix9ine Sentenced to Prison Time Over Probation Violations
According to Grouchy Greg Watkins of AllHipHop, the “Gummo” rapper was recently sentenced to three months in prison for the aforementioned probation violations.
The rap star had been granted probation for turning state’s evidence in the 2019 Treyway RICO trial. However, the judge deemed 6ix9ine a “dumpster fire” who should not be exempt from consequences. Despite previously helping the government.
The cited violations included the rap star being arrested for drug possession in February 2025, after authorities found cocaine and MDMA inside his Palm Beach residence. The outlet also notes that he had previously been jailed for “unauthorized travel” and for using methamphetamines.
In addition, court documents showed that the rapper physically attacked a man who antagonized him for cooperating with the feds. Court documents showed that the man tried to flee, but Tekashi and another associate hunted down the antagonist and physically attacked him, but fled once they realized the man was armed.
It also probably did not help that the rapper has been involved in several rap and social media feuds. His most recent attack was on Atlanta rap star Young Thug. Over the summer, an audio recording of Young Thug leaked on social media. In the recording, the YSL head honcho appeared to implicate gang member Peewee Longway for shooting Lil Wayne’s tour bus in April 2015. 6ix9ine noted the hypocrisy in the lack of backlash coming from the rap community in comparison to how he was treated when he cooperated with the government.
All of these things culminated in him being remanded to prison for three months. No word on if Tekashi will appeal the sentencing. Stay tuned for further updates.
