6ix9ine is back on the internet doing what he does best—stirring the pot. This time, he’s got Young Thug in his crosshairs after a two-year-old interrogation tape of Thugger resurfaced online.
The leaked audio, which runs nearly two hours, allegedly captures Thug speaking with police about crimes tied to his circle. Peewee Roscoe’s name even pops up—the same Roscoe who made headlines back in 2015 when he was accused of shooting at Lil Wayne’s tour bus. Since the clip hit the net, the reactions have been mixed: some fans are brushing it off, Roscoe himself downplayed it, and a lot of Atlanta’s rap elite have stayed silent–just long enough to set 6ix9ine off.
On Friday (Aug. 30), the Brooklyn rapper hopped on Instagram Stories and tagged Lil Baby, Future, and 21 Savage, calling them out directly:
“Why everybody so quiet? When all the songs coming out calling ya man Spider a rat?” he asked. “Where all the energy from the rap community? Y’all waiting and hoping this to blow over? Hoping and praying people forget?”
In a series of videos Tekashi 6ix9ine doubled down, mocking the “goalpost moving” he says occurs when certain rappers get caught in questionable situations:
“Every day, every year, every time a n—a come out, y’all move the goalpost further, further, further. Oh nah, bro, it’s different. No, it’s different. Bro, you spoke for two hours. They literally tell you, ‘You have the right to remain silent.’”
Of course, 6ix9ine couldn’t resist spinning it back on himself. He reminded everyone that yes, he cooperated with the feds in his 2018 Nine Trey RICO case—but, in his words, “I never told on my friends.”
“Since I came home, y’all know I wear my s–t.” he said. “Them n—as wasn’t my mans. That’s what hurt y’all. Like, ‘Damn, he’s right.’ These n—as telling on they own friends.”
The irony isn’t lost here—hip-hop’s most infamous cooperator questioning Thugger’s loyalty hits different. But if there’s one thing 6ix9ine knows how to do, it’s keep his name in the middle of the mess.
