Conway The Machine announced recently on the Bootleg Kev Podcast that his business relationship with his brother Westside Gunn’s Griselda Records and Eminem’s Shady Records has come to an end. Conway’s Shady Records debut God Don’t Make Mistakes is scheduled to drop this Friday, but the From A King To A God rapper revealed: “It’s free agency right now ya’ heard? Griselda that’s mine. I took that and put it on my back. Me and bro, me and West.” He continued “I need that supermax man. I need that Giannis [Antetokoumpo] bag.”
Conway says that his Griselda and Shady paperwork was “all together” and that his obligations to both imprints have been fulfilled. “Now it’s time to sit back at the round table and figure what the future has in store for me, you know?” Last Saturday (2/19) the Buffalo M.C. dropped a 14 track mixtape called Greetings Earthlings where he rhymes over beats by Kanye West, J.Cole, Young Thug, and Baby Keem. Conway’s recent singles “John Woo Flick” and “Piano Love” both appeared on Greetings Earthilings and are set to appear on God Don’t Make Mistakes. See the Bootleg Kev Podcast clip above.
