Drake is looking to make a double No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts thanks to his latest album, For All the Dogs.
According to reports, For All the Dogs is racked up 400,000 to 450,000 equivalent album units after its first day of release, and since the album dropped at 6 a.m. on October 6 rather than the usual midnight, HITS Daily Double revealed that the projections may be on the lower end. However, the album is still looking to become the year’s fourth-biggest debut behind Taylor Swift, Morgan Wallen, and Travis Scott.
In addition to topping the Billboard 200 chart, Drake could also be making a No. 1 debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with his J. Cole-assisted effort, “First Person Shooter.” If projections are correct, this will give Drake his 13th No. 1 entry on the chart as a solo artist and will tie him with the late Michael Jackson for the most chart-toppers by a male solo artist.
