XXXTentacion’s 2018 album “?,” has reached a significant streaming milestone, as it has now surpassed 10 billion plays on Spotify. This achievement sets it apart as the first and only rap album to reach such a record-breaking number. This remarkable feat was reported by HipHopDX, confirming that “?,” crossed the 10 billion mark on Monday, October 23.
In the realm of albums, “?,” has managed to outperform other fan-favorite LPs, including those by artists such as Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran, and The Weeknd. Claiming the top spot with over 14 billion streams is Bad Bunny’s 2022 release, “Un Verano Sin Ti.”
Following closely behind XXXTentacion is Drake, who has accumulated over nine billion streams from his 2018 album, “Scorpion.” “?,” was released on March 16, 2018, just months before the tragic incident that claimed XXXTentacion’s life in his home state of Florida. This genre-blending work features collaborations with artists such as Joey Bada$$, PnB Rock, Travis Barker, and more, spanning 18 tracks. It made a stunning debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and is certified 5x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
In June, XXXTentacion was also recognized for his immense impact on the world of rap. He had a total of eight songs featured on Spotify’s 50 most-streamed rap songs of all time, a tribute to Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary. One of his biggest hits, “SAD!,” even secured a place in the top three.
XXXTentacion’s other entries on the list included “Jocelyn Flores” at No. 5, “Moonlight” at No. 13, the diamond-certified track “F**k Love” featuring Trippie Redd at No. 19, “Everybody Dies In Their Nightmares” at No. 21, “Changes” at No. 26, “Look At Me!” at No. 28, and “Hope” at No. 41.
