Drake appeared on stream with popular internet personality Adin Ross on April 13. One of the topics that came to the surface was a potential celebrity boxing match. Ross also asked the “Nothing Was The Same,” creator if he would ever participate in a celebrity boxing match to which the Toronto-born artist vehemently responded “No.”
Drake Hints at Potential Boxing Match Against Kendrick
However, Drizzy did say that if he were to participate in a friendly spar it would not be for public consumption. He would prefer it if it were behind closed doors. The streaming star then said that he knew who Drake wanted to fight. And while Ross never said the name of who he was alluding to, it was clear he was talking about Kendrick to which Drake responded:
“If we’re fighting, we’ll fight at [Hollywood] Hino’s gym or something like that — behind closed garage doors.”
Let’s be honest — a boxing match between Kendrick and Drake is likely not in the cards. The two rap stars have not even been in the same room since their rap feud started last spring. But just because that is the case now, doesn’t mean it was always that way. At one point it was a possibility, according to Glasses Malone, who is a close affiliate of Kendrick. Malon says that at one point the GNX artist did want to fight Drake.
“The only person who wants to kick Drake’s ass is Dot. Dot really wants to kick his a**,” Malone said.
“That n***a don’t let [stuff] go. Kendrick, for sure, don’t let anything go. Shout out to the whole TDE family — them n****s hold on to everything. If you say some shit, them n****s probably remember what you said to them in fourth grade.”
