Fans have patiently awaiting Young Thug’s return to the studio. The Young Stoner Life (YSL) leader has not dropped a new album since 2023 because he was swooped up by the feds for his alleged involvement in a racketeering ring.

Thug has been teasing a new album UY SCUTI for the last few weeks. And while his fans are still curious about what the name means, it hasn’t stopped the hype surrounding the new project.
On April 16 Thug shared the album’s website which is “iamuyscuti.com” on social media and added the caption: “It’s time. Red Planet.” He also blessed fans with the album’s cover art as well as a merch line that will accompany the album.
Despite the anticipation for this new single, it won’t be the first new verse Young Thug has laid down since coming home. He was featured on Lil Baby’s Dumb, Dumb, and Dumber which also features Future.
Lil Baby recently revealed that he, Future, and Young Thug have talked about working on a joint project. It started as an idea formulated by Young Thug for Future and Lil Baby to do a tape together while he was incarcerated. But after the YSL leader’s release last Halloween, he decided he also wanted to be involved.
“Me and Future were working on a joint tape. We damn near got the joint tape done. And now Slime came home, you know he ain’t goin’ for that. He was like ‘Sh****t,'” Baby said.
“It was actually Thug’s idea. When he was in jail, he was like, ‘Aye, call Pluto. I want y’all to do a tape together.’ He damn near named the tape and everything — this was before he got out.”
It will be interesting to see if and when that tape will be released.
