Ray J Believes Diddy Will Beat His Case
Diddy’s trial is set to begin in just a few week. But the opinions are already starting to fly about the potential verdict. Former R&B star Ray J, who was a close friend of Diddy, believes that the Bad Boy Records founder will beat the case.
“Puffy getting out. All that shit they’re trying to charge that n***a for is nonsense, bro,” the “One Wish” creator said.
“He did something bad that we all seen and that shit’s unacceptable, but that’s not what the charges are for. The charges are weak, and it’s not funny and it’s not okay.”
It has been speculated that much of what Diddy is accused of occurred at infamous Hollywood parties. Better known as “freak-offs.” Since that information was revealed, many fans have been giving the side eye to celebs who have been spotted at said parties in resurfaced pictures. During an appearance on Newsnation’s Cuomo in November, Ray J said he doubts most celebs have ever been to a freak-off.
“I think that there might have been times where people have partied with a certain team of people. And there might have been a ‘freak off,’ right? But I can guarantee you, most of the celebrities that went to Diddy’s parties never even heard of a ‘freak off,” Ray J said.
He also added: “Everybody that’s super legitimate, that’s an A-List celebrity, from my knowledge. I just know that I have never seen a ‘freak off’ — what does that really mean?“Is that really real? Are we creating a new narrative for something that’s not there? Was there really dope in the baby oil? What are we doing?”
