Produced by Grammy-winner Adam Blackstone, The Snowman will be backed by renowned bassist and composer Derrick Hodge and the Color of Noize Orchestra to give his debut album a classical twist.
The 23-city tour starts off in Miami on Friday, June 27, and will end in Detroit on Friday – The Snowman plans to celebrate the album’s official 20th anniversary in his hometown on Saturday, July 26.
“I’m incredibly grateful that we’re here celebrating 20 years of motivation,” Jeezy said in a statement. “This album is cemented in the cultural zeitgeist and serves as the soundtrack to modern-day storytelling in the genre. It had the impact it did because it was raw and honest. I can’t wait for fans to experience it in this new way.”
In addition to the tour, Jeezy has announced a 20th anniversary edition of the album, new merchandise, community-focused events, and other initiatives including a custom SiriusXM channel and men’s health campaigns.
Debuting at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, Thug Motivation 101 birthed three Billboard Hot 100 hits in “Soul Survivor” featuring Akon, “And Then What” featuring Mannie Fresh and “My Hood,” respectively.
