Salt N Pepa Inducted Into the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame
Among the names headlining the star-studded class, is popular hip-hop girl group Salt N’ Pepa.
They are behind several of your favorite 1990s hits. Including Push It!, None of Your Business, and Do You Want Me?
Salt N’ Pepa will also be receiving the Musical Excellence award. The award “highlights artists, musicians, songwriters, and producers whose originality and influence in creating music have had a dramatic impact on music.”
After the class was announced, John Sykes, the Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame praised the inductees for creating their “own sound and attitude” as well as their “profound impact” on their respective dramas.
“Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of Rock & Roll forever,” Sykes said in a statement.
“Their music gave a voice to generations and influenced countless artists that followed in their footsteps.”
Salt N’ Pepa was not the only iconic rap ground inducted into the 2025 Rock Hall of Fame class. Outkast, which is composed of famed Atlanta Rap stars Big Boi and Andre 3000 was also inducted.
After receiving the news of Outkast’s induction, Big Boi called the honor the “Last Infinity Stone” of his illustrious career.
“It’s like the last Infinity Stone in my Thanos glove,” he said in a statement. “We never imagined this when we started out. When you hear ‘Rock & Roll Hall of Fame,’ you think of The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who. Being mentioned alongside names like that — people who shaped the sound of generations — that’s not something we ever expected.”
